The same thing has happened in the states....nurses where shot at for wearing scrubs. stupid people are everywhere.

I had a conference call with one of our contractors yesterday. The product manager wasn't able to make it, so we just talked story for about half an hour.

Many people don't know this, but there's a big tech sector down in Guadalajara Mexico... and some really good talent down there. Much better than dealing with morons in India, and the timezone ain't as bad.

Anyways... really nice guy. Been working with him for about six months now.

So while we're talking story, we compared notes on how people are handling the SIP and such. They're doing most of the same stuff down there, people staying home, wear masks/gloves, etc... but there's a difference.

Apparently, while we're having protests about having to stay home, the good folks down in Mexico are attacking and harassing Doctors and Nurses who are dealing with the Covid-19 infected patients. While our medical pro's are getting praised from every direction (and rightfully so), there's a population of morons down south that are physically attacking them. He said that stupid people are thinking that the doctors are spreading it on purpose.

The complete stupidity of some people just can't me measured in normal terms... you have to use the "order of magnitude" scale... and attacking doctors taking care of sick people, well that's WAY near the end of that scale.

It is very common. I personally know first responders who were shot at during Katrina when they were trying to rescue people. Doctors W/o Borders have been killed trying to vaccinate people. Nuns helping treat Ebola victims have been raped and murdered because they were suspected of deliberately trying to spread the virus (or creating it).

We are not too far off from it in this country, I'm afraid, judging by how the protests have been angling against medical professionals - and by some of the remarks made right here on this board.

When I first heard it, I thought it was like one of those tram cars at the airport. It was actually quite a bit more serious. I don't even see train tracks - he must have really jumped the thing.
