Awesome. I spent 4 days in the desert sun. I burned my face just to be extra careful.

Who lives outdoors?
When it's hot, office buildings turn on the AC and it's pretty cool and dry in most offices.
Airplanes and airports are pretty cool and dry.
If someone sneezes in a subway, it's going to go around.
There's no silver (or Zinc) bullet that will work here. IMO, treatments are the way to go. Vaccines are not historically reliable. We still don't have Vaccines for HIV or older SARS, so we can't sit around and hold the country hostage for a vaccine.CRPA Lifetime MemberComment

Pretty much the same here...but I have been to a super market and have ordered take out a few times and if I haven't I know my wife has gone out a few times as well. You might be surprised, actually. Most of the homeless are inside quite a lot, and a few approaching 100%.
However monitoring the homeless population is ongoing, and also has some surprising results. A family friend of ours ministers to a large number of homeless and she gets the inside scoop -- far from being ignorant of it, the ones she knows have been hunkered down and distancing hard from each other. They also have been getting tested twice per week for some time, and within that population, no positives yet.
My personal *belief*, unchanged from the beginning, is that droplet spread is more likely if you're in a confined space with infected people. I have not been inside a structure with someone not in my family since March 9th. Might be overkill, might not.

Most but not all
Most but not all viruses give you lifetime immunity once you have recovered.
All the news and way too many people here are bitterly clinging to their hope that WuhanChinaVirus is one of the few that can reinfect you and kill you.Comment

There may actually be one.
Several studies are having similar results and it appears that nicotine patches have similar results.Comment

There is nothing whatever "huge" about this revelation.
It simply reiterates that this virus will live less longer "on surfaces" in the heat, when humid and in sunlight. What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?

This study was done with the actual covid-19 virus, not older studies from how other viruses act under the same conditions.
There are other reports that this virus was built based on the T-800 terminator model:It can't be reasoned with, it can't be bargained with...it doesn't feel pity of remorse or fear...and it absolutely will not stop.Ever. Agreed with you on everything except the vaccines part. Smallpox being eradicated, polio, diptheria, measles, rubella, pertussis... I don't know man, it does seem pretty effective to me. Of course not 100% at all, but enough to make those diseases which used to wreak havoc every summer just 80 years ago, rare.Who lives outdoors?

As for HIV, I think its very hard to make a vaccine for it because the virus attacks the very part (immune system) that a vaccine must depend on to fight the virus. SARS, I asked a couple immunologists about that. They said basically that sure it could've been done, but since it ended fairly quickly there was no money it in so no one bothered to do it.Entreprise Arms - FFL 07 manufacturer of CA-Legal FAL type rifles in Baldwin Park, CA.
