As others point out, you are looking at numbers for COVID-19 given the shutdown and saying it's not serious enough to have a shutdown. Do you not recognize the logical problem? That's like saying oil changes are stupid, your car works fine, even though it's always had regular oil changes. The preventative measures we've done are baked into Fauci's estimates.

Just admit it. You don't care about the people who die from this. Why make up charts to pretend COVID-19 doesn't kill very many people? I'd much rather people admit they care more about their wealth than they do about the small chance they'll die of a "flu" or the hordes of really old people that were going to die soon anyway. I get that, I can relate to that.

Flattening the curve just means we postpone the inevitable deaths. But the shutdown ensures 10’s of millions more will be on unemployment and seeking all kinds of government help for the foreseeable future. Oh, and the bankruptcy thing...

Just like we don't care about all the other total deaths in this country, in total, in this country. We just shut it out, until it happens to some one we know. Death is going to happen no matter what. The virus is just one more way to die, it does not even come close to abortions in the country. Concern, yes, overt fear, no.

I've said no such thing. I'm saying it's not serious enough to continue a shut-down.

The preventative measures we've done are baked into Fauci's estimates.
Fauci's number have been changing every week. First it was 2 Million dead, then 200k dead, then 80k dead, now 60k dead. Which is it? His numbers were pulled out of thin air. He has no way of knowing whether the measures actually helped or not.

Just admit it. You don't care about the people who die from this.
I'll admit it, in the same sense as I don't care about the 2.8 Million people that die every year in the US.

Why make up charts to pretend COVID-19 doesn't kill very many people?
I didn't make up any charts, they are available if you google. Not my charts, not my facts. Just go to the CDC website if you wish.

You can relate? I have three family members who have been laid off due to this debacle. My wife's hours have been cut in half. Businesses aren't making any money with everyone staying home.

It's no about protecting wealth, it's about getting people back to work. The wealthy don't even have to work so for them it's a non-issue.

Blatantly false and incorrect. Fauci and Birx made it very clear in the first days of the shutdown that there would be 100k~200k deaths in weeks with full mitigation.

Most of what I've seen is it will be about 60K - or like an average flu season. If we extrapolate it some to show it as having been here at the beginning of flu season it would be like a bad flu season.
