Small Rant - stimulus checks and general crapping

The government is about to add $6,250 in debt for every body in the United States. They will give some adults about $1200 and $500 for each kid. So they are going to hand out about $750 per person back - where does the other $5,500 per person go?

Will we get better roads - no
Will we get border security - no
Will we get a cure for chicom flu - maybe
Will we enjoy greater freedom - just being silly

Where does that other $5,500 go? Special interests, failed industries they won't let fail, maybe it maintains a little 401k value IDK.

If I were Trump I'd veto. I'd say give me a bill with the money for the people, money for the medical, and knock the rest of this crap off. If a business wasn't prepared, didn't prep, then let it fail and see its assets auctioned off so that buyers can put its assets back to work.

This is why I stopped investing in California almost 10 years ago. I got out for awhile but had to come back but my goal is to escape permanently and to put no more money into this State than necessary in the mean time. No more properties. I will not start a business here. I want nothing tying me down here. The writing has been on the wall for a long time.

Nice rant. You covered quite well most of the points on my list as well.

Here are some points to futher consider, and I hope these don't increase your blood pressure too much:

1. Our legislature is controlled by Dems and Libs that have been bent over, greased up, and controlled by Unions, both private sector and public employee Unions. The public sector contributions to Unions means your tax dollars are being used to screw you as these organizations love open borders, health care and housing and education for illegal entrants and non-contributors, all at an expense to you.

2. Government employees (I won't use the term "government worker" beause it is just too inaccurate) get pay that far exceeds the value of their efforts, platinum plated and guaranteed pensions, often health care for life, and tons of time off, and get to continue to get paid during the current crisis because they themselves have determined that they are essential. This means they are consuming your tax dollars while their doors are closed to the public, which means they are doing little if anything while consuming your tax dollars.

3. Schools are overloaded and spending a bundle of your tax dollars to educate and feed the spawn of criminals, the people that illegally entered the US and brought the kids with them or spawned them here. If someone gives you a stolen car and you get caught in it, you go to jail even though you did not steal the car yourself. So why should illegal entrant kids or the kids of illegal entrants get an education when they are breaking the law just being here? Again, schools are spending a fortune on the facilities, teachers, and materials to educate people that should not be here. Of course schools are run by government employees that have a vested benefit in even more illegal entrants coming here to get educated via your tax dollars, thus they do nothing to curb the largess of expenditures on illegals.

4. Roads and streets are more crowded than they need to be because of so many illegal entrants being on the road, many uninsured, and wearing out the streets you paid for and delaying your use of the streets and roads you paid for. Parks are abused, and you find toilet paper all over the floor in bathrooms because of illegal entrants don't seem to know how to use first world bathrooms.

5. When you have an accident and need to go to the ER, the one you are prepared to pay for using, you will no doubt be in line behind an illegal entrant or non-contributor who will not pay, so their costs are spread to schmucks like you that will be paying your bill through insurance or cash.

6. Every union member and democrat voter in this state is screwing you out of your liberties (Dem/Lib/Union are Anti @A) and income via their support of the dem/lib/union legislature. Regardless of party affiliation, Union members are effectively Dem/Lib.

My rant too disorganized to continue...but you get the idea of the problems that need to be solved soon. 1) Union influence of the legislature 2) Illegal entrants. Solve those too issues and you solve a bunch, but not all, of California's issues.

I was taken aback when i found out my neighbor a single lady in her 40s told me she only pays 700$ a month rent for her home. She is under a housing program that pays most of her rent while i and my so pay 2600$ for an almost identical place.
She is a housekeeper and has three children and brags about how she only reports a certain amount of income to keep recieving benefits including food stamps. She even conned her ex into allowing her to claim 2 of her children which do not even live there.
She has a late model bmw x5 and it annoys me evertime i see it but in her eyes she has the system figured out.
I work 50+ hours every week and dont like to see people who dont need our help take full advantage.

One of the happiest days of my life was when payday came and went and I didn't get a paycheck. I live on after tax savings and probably won't draw on any of my IRAs until I have to. If you look at my tax return I'm dirt poor. I'll be donating my govmint check to a worthy cause like CRPA.

The abrupt change in income and investments prompted a letter from the Franchise Tax Board about the irregularities in my tax return. When I called them the person assigned to my case basically said good for you and I hope you are planning on leaving California; case closed.

Happiness is California in the Rear View Mirror. We're going to NV. I'd prefer middle America but NV is the furthest wife wants to be from grandson.

This! Work to live, don't live to work. Many people use work as an escape from their lives and families because it's easily self justified. Being a corporate drone is only celebrated in America.

We are in America. The structure is what makes it a great place.
