I have seen big tankers drop right along the fire line in rugged terrain. They are laying down a line of retardant along the south side of 88, away from the fire. Maybe they figure they can't slow the fire down north of 88 and are hoping to make stand stand along the highway.
On TV, they show the fire is really ripping north of Caples Lake.
They showed a cabin, brush and a couple of trees burning about a mile NE of Echo Summit.... The liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:

Looking at the embercast over Christmas Valley and the wind forecast for tonight, there's a good chance the fire will be in Nevada by midday tomorrow. Hopefully SLT will be saved.
I caught that new camera up at Heather Circle earlier, the time lapse showed them setting it up. Sure are a lot of headlights moving around in an evacuated area; tonight's going to be rough for structure protection....Comment

Most of these ski resorts have the ability to make snow!
So they have large pumps and pump lake water uphill and out of giant hose nozzles.
