How does this compare to a VEPR12 or a Saiga 12?

Just ordered a VEPR 12 from Atlantic Firearms. While I was at it, also ordered a couple SGM 10 round magazines and a CSS VEPR 12 Molot brake. Can't wait to shoot it

Not very motivated to put anymore work into the MKA, especially with more MKA owners reporting cracked bolts and replacement parts hard to find for the early guns. This will just be an occasional range toy and I won't worry about the FTE & FTF I get with nearly every magazine.

I thought that if you used a magazine over 5 rounds, your shotgun is no longer "sporting" and triggered 922r.

Granted, the link is for the Saiga 12, its in the middle of the body of text: "Please be aware that ATF considers any shotgun with more than 5 rounds of magazine capacity to be "non-sporting". If you choose to use the 10rd or 20rd magazines on your Saiga-12, you must be 922(r) compliant first!"

922r also applies to the MKA and I am compliant with my 10 round magazines. I have fewer than 10 foreign parts on the 922r list.

Compliance doesn't kick in until I actually insert the magazine in the VEPR. On the 922r list, there are 15 foreign parts on the imported VEPR12. The US made SGM magazine knocks three parts from the list, I'll machine my own gas piston which counts as another part, and a trigger control group from CSS cuts another three parts, for a total of eight remaining foreign parts out of ten.
