    You can ghost load it: fill the mag, use the cutoff to block feeding the lifter, Cock it, load a round into the chamber, use the fast loading lever to release the bolt, but don't let it go home; pull the cooing handle back enough to slip a shell onto the lifter without re-cocking it, close the volt

      Which is what I did when I had an Escort MP-A that I installed an ATI stock on. OP, look in the pictures portion of this forum, and I have a bunch of my old MP-A. Had the 1st Gen and it had too many FTF's and FTE's. I've heard the 2nd gen fixed all that. Ended up selling it and getting a Beretta 1301 Tac.

          Is a really interesting gun. did the tube extension but had to take it apart and lube all the internals good cause it would not cycle low recoil shells after that its been really fun to shoot.
