    Escort MP-A

Anyone else have one? How do you feel about it? What have you done to it?

I have had one for almost two years and am very pleased with it. It has never had a failure to feed/fire/extract. My friend has counted 6 (of 7) hulls in the air at one time when I mag dump.

IMHO it is a great value that is starting to be recognized in the US. They are already very popular in England among shotgunners there.

At the time I bought mine there were no aftermarket parts at all for it like there are now. I had a machinist friend modify an extended mag tube to fit, modified a generic heat shield (did ok but not perfect job) and added a butt cuff.

One thing I don't particularly care for is the "Fast Loading System" where the bolt release is part of the shell lifter. You drop a shell in the open action and then as you start to load one into the mag tube it closes the bolt and loads the shell. You then finish loading the mag. The problem with it is that you can't ghost load a round on the lifter. Their older version had a receiver mounted bolt release which allowed for ghost loading. I have verified the current model will cycle properly with one in the chamber and one on the lifter, you just can't get the extra round in there with a full mag tube.

I have had mine for a couple years as well and love it! I just don't hear about any others that have them! I did a custom mag extension as well and it has never failed me. It cycles as fast as I can pull the trigger!

I don't think it was any heavier then the Mossberg 930SPX I handled.

Love mine. Got the mag tube extension, spring, and follower from King Armory.

All have been excellent with a wide range of loads.

I wish King Armory would set an AR stock adapter but I may try the ATI Archangel stock.

From what I've read, you can take the ATI stock off and replace it with any other commercial spec stock.

Is that adjustable stock legal in California?

I provide no input on that and was simply giving source for Escort accessories.

If you wanted it on a semi auto, then one would simply need to pin the stock in place.
