Recommend grease or oil for an over and under action. Hinge pins ect? Picked up a SKB M-500 for my birthday. Thanks in advance.

As long as you grease it....use what you have. Do go light on oil as it will tend to soak into the wood stocks...a drop for the ejectors is all you need....grease the rest

I like the RIG gun grease on my hinge pins and choke tube threads ... A little REM oil on the ejector and in the firing pin holes,, breach face ect... Soft towel and REM oil wipes the exterior of finger prints ,, dust ect... Break your new gun in with clean grease every shoot and you will be happy-happy-happy !!!.... Cheers..

I've tried several different types of grease on my O/U's, everything from extreme pressure molly to airframe greases. The one I like best is Mobiltemp SHC 32. You can get it HERE. One tube will last a lifetime, I put it in a 10cc syringe to apply. You can get the syringe HERE as well...

I have had good luck with STOS an acronym for Slicker Than Owl S***. I think that it was originally made by Ponsness Warren to lube their shotshell reloading machines, matters not, it works well and a little goes a long way.

You can buy it in small plastic 'cans' or in a syringe. I like the cans as I use a Q-Tip to apply so I don't get too zealous with it.

It doesn't really make much difference. I use either Mobil 1 in a syringe or white lithium is a tube. Keep the grease clean because it will attract and hold dust and grit and that is what wears a gun.
