I will mention that as a left-handed person, it was very easy to run that 1301 in a 4day shotgun class.
Good to know. I know there's a coupla companies (e.g., Nordic) that have round extension kits. Any recommendations? Can you run a +2 round kit without extending beyond the barrel?

I haven't looked into mag extensions much yet.

I seem to recall a megathread on brian enos forum that they talk a lot about the 1301 and mag tubes are talked about often.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I have a 1301 tactical and do run Nordic +2. But it does extend past barrel by 1/2"

I have short arm and 1301 is perfect as you can adjust lops and "slope" (?) for cheek weld.
It will also shoot 900fps Federal bird shot reliably. You can't say that about most other semi.

Thanks guys. I'm seriously looking at the 1301 now. Seems to be a good match for what I'm looking for. Now just have to find one locally to play with.

I have short arms myself and have shortened the stock on nearly every one of the 21 shotguns I've owned in my lifetime. I'm down to five now and I've only shortened 3 of them. My Benelli SBE, M2 20ga and Vinci are all 13-7/8 to 14" and my two O/U skeet guns are 14" for the BRizzini 20ga & 14-1/4" for my FinnClassic 12ga which is fine because I shoot high gun anyway.

Some shotguns are a lot of work to shorten stocks. I would rather buy one that's ready to go. Modifying pitch is also important. Some shotgun lets you modify that. Which is great.

look for youth or compact models. I have to deal with short arms as well.
