    Flashlights for Mossberg 500/590

Can anyone recommend a good flashlight and attachment for Mossberg 500/590?

I have a Surefire G2 attached to my 870. Pretty good all around flashlight, I use one for work and one stays attached to my 870.

If I remember correctly, 590 has lug for bayonet and Surefire requires removal of lug.
You might want to double check on that.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

I welcome it. How else would I learn.

i use the laser devices lite mount clamp with a surefire L6 digital lumamax. a bit expensive, but you can find much more affordable setups with the same quality. and most of them will be brighter than the surefire forend. which has decent, but somewhat limited illumination.

here's the clamp i use, you can use any decent grade 1" LED with it and it will be rock solid.

Browse a HUGE selection of hunting rifles & shotguns, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, reloading equipment, ammo, and more! Brownells: Since 1939

do not go incandescent. for shock factor and sheer brightness, LED will always be better choice for shotgun lights.

rrr70 what light mount are you using? I am also looking for a light mount that doesn't cover the Vang porting. I have considered the surefire forend. but i am not quite sure of it yet.

It is a cheapo TacStar mount. Just need to be make sure to put some kind of piece of ruber on the magazine tube side. It was sliding after every shot until I put some ruber. Very solid now.

Try this one, I have this mounted on a triple picatinny attached to the barrel.

You can go really cheap with some blue painters tape

But the mount the rrr70 has will do.

here you go guys, here's a thread from a forum i frequent, shotgunworld.com

I just got a surefire 6p from my buddy for $10 and now i need a mount for my moss 500. What do you guys have and how do you like them? Thanks for any input.

if you want the best light mount, again i reccomend the lite mount. it sits very flush with the mossberg/rem shotguns and holds up tighter than -any- other barrel clamp on the market.

for this reason, again i reccomend only LED's for shotgun usage. Surefire G3 LED is perfect

                              surefire with a wolfeyes conversion!

but for a 590 with a bayo lug you'd have to shave it or get a surefire pivot endcap which would look a little awkward.
