Bummer - I was just talking to a buddy who was embarking on the impossible task of trying to buy an AA-12, and I suggested he give up on that and just get a Saiga-12.
When it really comes down to it, I'm not going to cry over this. As far as good tactical shotguns go, a Benelli M4 with extended tube will hold 9 rounds (7+1+1), and it will shoot them just fine.
Maybe the Saiga ban will get the guys at MPS to develop a semi-auto 10+1version of the AA-12 and build it in large enough quantities that the price isn't insane.
EDIT: PS - I wonder if some of that FUD being thrown around a while ago about Russian made ammo disappearing is going to come true...Last edited by laurelpark; 07-18-2014, 1:49 PM.Comment

1) Someone really needs to make a bullpup semi auto shotgun... I have a KSG and its amazing how compact and how great of an HD gun it would be if it was more reliable...It doesnt even need to hold more than 6 or 7 rounds..Bummer - I was just talking to a buddy who was embarking on the impossible task of trying to buy an AA-12, and I suggested he give up on that and just get a Saiga-12.

AK arms.
it is only a matter of time before someone gets the idea of manufacturing arms here in the United States.
The upcoming elections in 2014/16 will determine if that actually happens.
In any event, we reducing cost 3D printers and 3D printers that can now make metal guns, the upcoming reindustrialization of America will make small scale gin manufacturing cost effective.
Given a ban, smoething tells me that the Russians may be game to license American made guns for a royality.
Many people who buy SAIGA shotguns modify them anyway. An American bulit AK shotgun would probably be built with many of the mods we want as standard equipment.
The VEPR 12 actually could provide a working model to build AKs that actually hafe a last shot bolt hold open feature.
Is this annoying, absolutely.
Perhaps we can pool our funds, open up factory in a free state that appreciates our business and make quality guns, this is of course assuming someone else isn't already doing so.

Two of the most reliable qualities in a firearm. I can accurately deliver 10oz of lead sooner than you might expect - and another 10oz, and another, etc.I'm not a fan of box magazine fed shotguns myself or Russian designed firearms in general
I would take an S-12 over a Street Sweeper any day.
The AK actually has some very distinct ties to its German predecessor. After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..
I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".Comment
