So, at 30 yards with full choke my natural POA is low. I just grabbed some camo fabric tape and wrapped the stock until the thickness was enough to get my point of aim dead on. Problem is, I had to use so much tape my stock has a bulge the size of rosie o donell on it now. I need something to get me about 1/2" off of the stock, but this is a beater/work horse gun, so I need something durable. Ideas?

Put a pad/foam on the stock and then tape it?NRA Patron Member

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.
I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.
I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest. -
Hard foam and some electrical tape is the ghetto fix. An actual adhesive pad is the cleaner way to do it.Truckers make the world go 'round!

I've heard of people using pipe foam you can get from Home Depot or Lowes for this. Cut them in half and stick them until you get a good height, then wrap tape around it.
Not sure if it will help you or not but there's also a shim kit Midway USA sells that changes the drop of your stock. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/897...ssberg-500-835Comment

Be wary of changing your stock drop. I changed mine by a half inch and it ruined my shooting... Took out the shim and I became better immediately.NRA Patron Member

hmmm the weather stripping is a good idea. I think I might even have some 1/4" foam tape laying around from work. I think I'll go do some experimenting. Thanks for the ideas!I fly everywhere backwards.
