    Need Slugs?

Just got an email from Freedom Munitions stating they are offering FREE shipping when you buy a 250 rd. case of their X-treme slugs. That and they are offering $50 off per case too! Total out the door for 250 rounds is around $150 depending on which slugs you pick. This is a great ammo company and I've ordered thousands of rounds of .45 and 9mm from them which they make in house and have never had a problem.

Any who....thought you might want to know.

Another vote of confidence for Freedom Munitions, I've ordered a lot of ammo from them and they're my vendor of choice when I have a company team shooting event. Ordered a batch of ammo from them for my coming team shoot this weekend, various calibers, handguns, rifles and shotguns.

About their slug ammo, if you're in no hurry, you can wait and see if they'll do another specials on them. They did so recently, $75 off a case with free shipping, I ordered a case of the copper plated ones.

If you want to shoot lots of slugs, try Target Sports USA. Free shipping if you buy a case, $174.50 for a case of Remington sluggers. http://www.targetsportsusa.com/p-247...on-sp12rs.aspx

Ammo Supply Warehouse has great prices on Rio Royal Slugs and Low Recoil Slugs.

It's all I've been shooting lately. The wife definitely appreciates the Low Recoil Slugs.

      $127.99/250

How's the quality on those? I don't venture too far off of Winchester, Remington, Federal or Freedom when it comes to my guns.

I bought some of those recently, also from Ammo Supply Warehouse. They're not bad I think, I don't have tons of experience and those are the only slugs I've shot. I was shooting them at 100 yards target and they do alright, the amount of drop is a bit much due to its low velocity but they didn't keyhole or tumble. All rounds hit straight on with perfect circle on target.

My colleague and I accidentally hit the wooden post of target stand too (sorry!) and the slugs went right through those too.

I was using a Benelli Supersport, and they cycled alright.

Pretty good for plinking I think.

The only downside about ordering from Ammo Supply Warehouse, is the shipping cost. Their shipping cost is more than others, total for me was $149.79 shipped. Still cheaper than most others.

Both the regular and the low recoil run just fine in my 1100. I haven't had any problems.
I rarely shoot past 50 yards, and the hold-over isn't that different from most other slugs.
The wife LOVES the low recoil buck and slugs.
It makes a 12 gauge feel like a 20 gauge.
They're as clean as Remington or Federal.
I picked them up in person, so the shipping cost was avoided = a cost that can't be beat.

Yeah, I refuse to pay crazy money for shipping. I'll probably go with some freedom or possibly the free shipping from target sports.

On a side note, what are you guys using for OO buck that's a good deal?

Check Target Sports for 00 too. Great round at a pretty good price. Especially if you buy by the case for the free shipping.

BTW Freedom Munitions is having a sale on their slugs again. $149.95 for a case of 250 copper plated slugs, free shipping.

I shot quite a number of those last weekend, pretty nice shooting. Not too bad recoil either on my Benelli Supersport.

When you check out, the $75 discount will be applied to your cart.

Good time to stock up if you shoot slugs.
