Hey everyone. I'm looking at getting the ATI side folding stock and forend grip for my Mossberg 500 12 gauge. Does anyone have an experience with this stock and forend? It looks and sounds great.

I would stay away from ATI. they are expensive and dont have the best quality. Dont listen to all the mall ninja haters. Its a shotgun, if you just want a fun range gun go as crazy as you want.best troll thread in calguns history

Tried one on my Mossy and didn't like it at all. If you notice, it folds to the left, which means it interfered with my thumb when folded. Plus it was crazy bulky when folded. Sold it on ebay a while ago."Never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake."

Agree. ATI is not what I would consider on any shotgun. There is a side folder that is well made if that is your interest. Look at the Butler Creek side folder.JD McGuire, Owner

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.Comment

I really like ATI's Akita stock, but there side folding 10/22 stock didn't realy impress me much... A lot of slop in the hinge.NRA Patron Member

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.
I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.
I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.Comment

Keep in mind when considering a replacement stock, that the Mossberg's safety location is NOT pistol grip friendly.Comment

thanks guys for the input. I'm going to keep looking for now. I mainly have this gun for home defense but shoot some clays from time to time.Comment

what would be a good recoil reducing and adjustable stock for a mossberg 500? I can shoot fine with a wood stock but my GF also shoots this gun at times and she is only 100 pounds and has less arms reach than me. plus I want her to be comfortable to grab it when she is home alone.Comment

Limbsaver buttpad might help for you gf...Kyle "Kenosha Kid" Rittenhouse did nothing wrongComment

Not to keep beating the same drum, but check out the ATI Akita. it's the only adjustable non-pistol grip stock I know of. It also comes with an excellent buttpad.what would be a good recoil reducing and adjustable stock for a mossberg 500? Magpul makes a stock that can be "set" to a certain length, but it's not possible to "adjust" it on the fly from what I understand. The Akita is a push-button operation to shorten the stock.NRA Patron Member

I have the non recoil suppression style because it was cheaper. But it took some of the recoil off. I can only imagine what the recoil suppression system would feel like.

I've been looking at the same type of setup for my 500 as well. This looks like a pretty good deal, not folding stock though. Reviews read mostly positive as well.
