    D minus 8 days

A BSA red dot for 30 bucks! If it holds up to the recoild of 1600 fps slugs, it;s worth 10x that!! Yes 1600 fps slugs (I;ve tried remington ones) even on my heavier semi-auto, kicks my butt.

This gun is mainly for the "joy of shooting" and some 3-G comp, rather than HD/PD. Certainly not for combat campaign, so from what everyone's saying, it should hold up very nicely to everyday wear and tear. Good to know the parts are interchangeable with the 590. That's the way to give over time.

Thanks for the nice pics of the classic, Kilrain.

The 31 was mostly made in steel receivers but there were some produced in aluminum in the late 40s/early 50s.

I have an old, made in 1942, Kansas City PD marked Remington Model 31 Police model. Super sweet gun.
