Shotgun gauge is determined by how many lead balls make up a pound. 20ga = 20 balls 12ga = 12 balls etc. A four gauge would be a 4 ounce ball = a 1750 grain projectile. -

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.
I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.
I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.Comment

What ever that thing was it's clear that we can handle only so much recoil before it beats the sh_t out of ya. Personally, I have always been a proponent of the use of stationary mounted anti aircraft flak guns for goose hunting. Think about it. One day in the field, one shot at a nice flight of geese, freezer full. Forget hunting, stay in bed and watch football every weekend for the rest of the season.
