I use the Limbsaver brand---same as the new factory Remington 870 pads.

I've shot with factory pads and Limbsaver on semi-autos and o/u guns. But all my guns get switched out to Kick Eez pads as soon as possible. The urethane pads are unequalled in shock absorbtion (IMO) and are easily fitted with excellent finish.

+1 on the Limb Saver. I put one on my Marlin 1895 in .450 Marlin. Can actually enjoy shooting it now.

                  I have a limbsaver.

But I'd also recommend ensuring that you have the proper technique as it will save your shoulder from a lot of recoil regardless of the pad.

Limbsaver. I wont use anything else.

Not fun to fit. Since we have some other folks here, how do you sand down the rubber so it does not shred?

I personally like the Pachmayr Decelerator's.

I believe you use a buffing wheel to trim them. I know Pachmayr recommends a certain type to shape their paids.

the libsavers seem to be a special kind of soft. the standard work (IME) that works find on other stuff doesn't seem to work so well on limbsavers.

I've even heard of gunsmiths refusing to fit limbsavers specifically because of this. That's just heresay though.
