which choke for hand launched clays?

I'm the thrower and the shooter. Yah, its kinda sad, but I go up to the national forest by myself now and then. So I throw, then mount the shotgun, not in a hurry, as I don't want to drop it or worse. By that time the clay is 40 yards. I put a clay in the snow, stationary, and took a shot at it. 3.5 foot spread all around the clay, but no breakage.

So based on your feedback I'm thinking imp-modified (browning in vector old style short choke)

If you have to throw your own clays, get one of the cheap tire mount throwers and tie the string to your leg. That will give you what you need to get on them quicker. You could also tie it to your arm so the bird launches as your start your mount. Should be able to stay IC or SKEET choke then.

Edfardos, where you located? I have a manual remote tosser you could get cheap I don't see me using it again it's in great shape.

I'm near Auburn. The forest service closed all the dirt roads so I have to hike a bit, which is why I didn't originally consider a throwing machine. How heavy is a simple shin whacker?

There is a trap club in Auburn that you could shoot at. Decent pricing and some good people.
