Do you personally prefer chocolate over vanilla, or vice versa? Why?

I don't shoot skeet or trap very frequently but I have tried both and I prefer the semi. The balance on my super vinci is perfect (I think) and I always enjoy having a third shot

If you're considering indoor eventualities (or hunting in brush or woods), you might also consider overall length. Since the OU doesn't have 8" of action in the middle of it, you get a much shorter gun overall for the same length of barrels. So a 28" bbl'd OU will be the same overall length as a 20" SA (or PA). Long barrels are nice for hunting and breaking clays, short overall length is good for turning corners or acquiring targets quickly in the dark.

So basically, do you want a 3rd shot, or do you want the first 2 to be more effective?

Of course, the argument is completely invalid if you just buy a 2nd barrel for your SA or PA shotgun. But if you just want one, single, unchanging platform for everything you want to do with a shotgun, don't discount the OU just for the lack of a 3rd shot.
I don't shoot because I like guns, I shoot because I hate paper.

There's a mistaken impression that conservatives don't like the environment. We do, we love the environment. We just call it the outdoors and we go there to kill stuff.

Better balance , less muzzle jump on first shot , not as bulky, don't have to pick up shells, choice of two different chokes for each shot, will not jam with any shell

          Semi

Price, even the inexpenive guns will shoot one POI, 3rd shot can come in handy in hunting situations, many come with stock shims to adjust fit instead of expensive adjustable combs and butt plates, interchangable barrel length

Thats all my head can dish out at the moment

            Yeah, what everyone else said.

Plus, I like to use my semi and load 3 in the manual thrower and when I shoot them all, I get oooohs and ahhhhs from the crowd (usually my wife). Can't do that with my O/U.

I was pretty sold on a Beretta Silver Pigeon Sporting I...

              until I handled a Beretta A400 Sporting.

Anyone who's ever started VS threads usually end up buying both .

Now that you mentioned it, how come nobody said you can't be like Tom Knapp and shoot 10 hand thrown clays in a single throw with an O/U?
