    When's the last time?

When's the last time anybody saw an OlinKodensha O/U without the Winchester 101 name added? Just curious. Or am I being too esoteric? Always liked the Win 101 made by Kodensha. Does anyone have enough experience to confirm or deny the old wives tale that Kodensha saved the best wood for their own EVB labeled shotguns (identical to the 101, but labeled differently).
9mm and 45acp are equally lousy. There's not a dime's worth of difference in REAL terminal ballistics. Get over it.

Yes, your being too esoteric for this crowd. I tried posting a question here about a Parker Brother SxS shotgun a few months ago just to gauge interest and it was like crickets, I got one reply referring me to the Parker Gun Collectors Association which I'm already a member of

I betcha if you change the title of your post to something like, "I Wanna Tacticool My Jap Winny OU" you'll get 15 replies in 12-hours

When I lived in Japan 69-71 Nikko made the 101 and Miruko made the Charles Daly, I have a pair of those the 12 ga says Charles Daly and the 20 says BC Miruko.
But is Nikko and Kodensha the same company?

Those guns were also marketed as Nikkos. They are not seen as much as the Win 101s. As far as wood selection goes I cannot answer you. I have seen some very nice wood on the 101s and some pretty plain wood on the Nikkos tho ......

There are some very knowledgeable shotgun people on Calguns and labeling all Calguns as a Tactical gun site is really not fair. If anything the sarcastic comments are what drives the more knowledgeable guys to go away .....
