Surprised someone brought this thread back.

I went there about a week ago and each time I go there, they have some issue. I shot trap by myself on the trap field #4; the one right next to the first skeet field. The voice control on the 4th position wasn't working and none of the employees cared enough to be anywhere on the fields.

If it weren't for the proximity, I'd never go there.

I always thought that too, but never got an explanation. Is the room where they kept the boards (far left past the cafe) still used as a random storage spot/area to call trophys for the club shoots?

I kinda miss that place, had some good, and really bad days working there.

The tenor of a place reflects the owners personality.

If the workers sense the owner or manager is anti customer they fall in line to that same conduct.

If the owner is not overly concerned over quality, so too will the workers be. If a place is falling apart, that's directly the result of lazy management and a cheaper owner...think the lakers versus the clippers, two totally different franchises.

Think rifle gear versus turners, or burro versus Angeles.

The equipment at prado is mostly always broke, but work arounds are easy enough. If the voice activation on #3 won't work, drag over #2's and use it !

Smashing birds out if the house? Complain and get a free round..

Get over charged at triple BBB's for a PPT? Complain and they'll ban you for life!!!

Hey, if they let me discharge a firearm on their property I will do in Rome as the Romans do.

We are lucky to have the ranges we do have. Could they be run better, maintained better, and have friendlier staffs ??

Possibly. But what does your garage look like ??
I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.

You guys should give Moore N Moore a try for sporting clays. They are the friendliest range I've ever been too.

In fact I'll be there this Saturday

+1...Not only the Moore's, but most of the old-timers/locals that shoot there are great ambassadors for the sport. Very down home feeling as if you're shooting off someone's porch.

I was at Prado today. I recall only two broken birds in about 8 rounds shot which in my experience at the place is pretty good. One skeet field did not have a center stake. Really how hard is that to fix. High house threw real low. Another field the low house threw wide right and I mean wide. Another problem with Prado is the wind can be nasty, but today it was calm.

The staff has always been friendly at Prado and the prices are good.

I like the skeet fields better at 3B. New machines that seem to throw birds more consistently. I have never experienced wind at 3B although I would think they get wind too. I have not experienced any problems with the staff at 3B and the patrons seem as friendly as Prado. Maybe I have just been lucky.

Overall I shoot better at 3B.
