While you're more than welcome to load up a key with clays at Triple B, if you're on the public stations and not rotating for trap some people might get pissed.
Just an FYI, it is more on the "formal" side.Come to Flavor Country...

Thanks a lot for the input, everyone! I've actually been going to ASR to use their machines. Mainly looking for a closer place.
I'll see if I can visit some of these local places some day. The idea of different presentations seems interesting. Shooting at ASR is cheaper, but the clay follows the same trajectory every time, so it gets repetitive.Comment

So what have we learned from the last 25 posts? How about the fact that there's a crap load of places to shoot clays in So Cal.
Trap, skeet, sporting clays, 5-stand, and bunker are out there just waiting for YOU to show up and break something.
Is it easier for you to sit home and fondle some HD gun you're never going to shoot, sure. But going out and actually shooting something is much more fun.Comment

26 posts and nobody has aswered the question.
OP: Call the ranges in your area and ask...make sure they understand what your looking for, a " Manual trap range" where i can bring my own clays, load the trap one at a time, and release them.
Up here we have them at Los Altos here is a pic

I gotta be honest with you, standing next a machine throwing your own clays is pretty lame and requires almost no skill to hit them.
Now on the other hand breaking a 50 yard crosser, a 60 yard teal, or a 75mph battue takes real skill.
Find a sporting clays station you like, and shoot it till you break them all.Comment
