Which SoCal ranges have clay throwing machines?

Hey all. I'm wondering which ranges in SoCal have solo operated clay throwing machines? I know there are many ranges that offer clay games priced by each round, but I can't seem to find any that just have user operated machines, with the exception of ASR...

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but Triple B in El Monte has voice activated machines. http://www.triplebclays.com/

I think the OP is looking for a place he can bring his own clays. Is that right?

Burro has them. I think its $40 and they give you a box of clays.

Well, partly. Bringing my own clays would be a nice plus, but I'm mainly looking for ranges that have "informal" clay machine shooting. My understanding is places like Triple B and Prado Park only allow for formal games such as rounds of trap, skeet or sporting clays. And those games are priced by the round ~$10/25 clays. Those 2 places happen to be much closer to me than ASR.

I just like standing next to the thrower and step on the pedal for a couple hours...

Oh, you can go to Triple B or Raahauge's and just pay for as many clays as you want to shoot, pick a station or stations, and shoot to your heart's content.

It's not a pedal though, they're automatic machines that are button operated (they can be programed with a delay if you're by yourself).

I'll be at TBC tomorrow by 10 if you want to join us.

Angeles has user-operated machines at the far ends of both the rife range and the pistol/rifle range. As I recall, there's a foot pedal that you use to activate the machine and toss the clays. Not as much fun as sporting clays because it's always going to the same spot, but good practice with a new gun.

I want to say, if you are into clay, get out to Oak Tree. That place has some real great stuff for clay.
Prices, I don't know about prices, but that is serious clay out there.

A Place To Shoot has.a dedicated shotgun range with 6 or 7 throwers. They are operated by pulling a rope. Requires 2 people most of the time (a shooter, a thrower) but you can throw and shoot yourself if you can pull a rope then quickly mount the gun.

The shotgun range is included with the $15 all-day range fee but you need to purchase the clays.

Actually, Raahauge's has probably 25 or so stations, and each station has two machines.

As I said, pay for as many clays as you want to shoot, find a station (or stations) where you like the target presentation(s), shoot to your heart's content.

Keep in mind that trap and skeet are games of repeatable target presentations. Every trap and skeet range in America throws exactly the same target presentations (internationally it's different. The rest of the world's trap and skeet target presentations are similar to America's, but they have more speed and/or more angles).

In sporting clays every station is different, every course is different, and the target presentations are limitless.
