never handled one, but i think it looks nice. i also think it is stupid to pay what people are selling them for. $2,000+ could buy you a Benelli M4, why waste that kind of cash on a plastic shotgun..............

there are guns on my short-list that i just have to have. the Kel Tec KSG isn't one of them. the math doesn't add up when i consider the shotgun and the price of admission. there are currently quite a few up for auction on Gunbroker.

MY LGS has had one sitting on the wall for a long time now. Even when everything else was flying out of the store, the KSG did not sell. It's interesting looking for sure, and does not feel bad, but I will stick to my M4.

There's half a dozen reviews on YouTube and the thing seems to be a lemon. Literally falling apart In people's hands

People keep confusing the KSG with the UTAS-15. The OLD UTAS was a POS, the 2nd gen seems to be fine.

A few of the old 1st gen KSGs had issues with the pump unit breaking, they reinforced the 2nd gen models. Either way it's not expensive to replace.

Expect to pay around $1200-1300 for one (MSRP is now $1200)

I boycott the KSG until it returns to NORMAL MSRP of 700

I just don't understand the appeal, not when you can buy a Mossberg 930 SPX for $750 and a 55rd bandolier or two for $30, or a Benelli autoloader and a bandolier for $1300-1600.

I think the appeal is that you essentially get a shotgun that is shorter than a SBS without having to deal with any of the legal crap you'd usually have to contend with due to the bullpup design.

You also get that compact size without sacrificing capacity due to the dual-tube configuration.

I'd like it as a Home Defense shotgun if they would get the hit & miss reliability issues taken care of and the price wasn't so insane.

Kel-Tec is a innovative company they take a lot of great ideas and implement them into their products. Unfortunately, the KSG from what I have read since it's conception to this very date is hit or miss. 50% of the owners love them 50% of the owners have had nothing but issues. Again, this includes both 1st and 2nd generations KSG's. As mentioned before great ideas but poor execution. PMR, RFB, and KSG, have the same reputation not sure if I am willing to spend $1000+ on a company that manufactures products that have a 50/50 rating with it's consumers.

In addition, not sure if their call volume for customer support is extremely high, but again, what I have gathered is that their customer service center is hit or miss as well. Depending on who you get, you get 100% customer satisfaction or you get someone that is unwilling and unsympathetic to your problems.

Thinking this is why people get interested in it. We could stop comparing it to a Benelli already as it is not in the same class. It is small (26.1") thus not even in the same duty class as a Benelli.

I have a gen 1 with over 2k rounds through it, nothing has "broken" as of yet. I keep it around the house for my 79 year old dad that can actually make use of it if he needs to etc...

My KSG runs with no problems , with a limbsaver recoil pad it is actually a pretty soft shooter .
