    I originally opted for a mix of 00 buck and slugs, both low recoil. I saw a program on the Outdoor Channel dealing with home defense, and saw that bird loads at home defense distances can be very lethal, and the added benefit is they won't blow big holes in your walls or furnishings. Looked kind of 6 of one, a half dozen of the other to me.

      It was from a Massad Ayoob article. He advised to do this in case it was called into question that you were (falsely, of course) self loading “super ultra deadly" rounds. This way you could send the rounds to a lab for testing since you have some from the original factory batch/box.
