had good experience with Bolsa Gunsmithing

I read a bunch of really bad reviews of their shop, so I figured I'd post this.

My 590 action was jamming up, and I wanted to have a mossberg ghost ring sight I'd purchased installed.

I took it in, they did the work, they called me when it was done. The sight is dialed in just beautifully (4" grouping with slugs at 15 yards with a pump is pretty dang good for me), the blueing looks good, and the action works very well again.

$130 wasn't cheap, but reasonable considering I couldn't do the work and they could. My plumber charges more to do less work.

    I'm a very happy customer.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

I also had very good experiences with Bolsa, many years ago, when they did warranty work on several of my S+W revolvers (why nearly all of my S+W purchases needed warranty work right out of the box is another question).

I would definitely not hesitate to use them again.

My only concern, and it's now several years old, is when they went kinda nutso when I asked them to fit a scope mount to an H+K SR9 Rifle. I'm not sure is the "Black Rifle" phobia is still there, but it was really obvious.

I've had both good and bad.

The guys know rifles and shotguns. But did terrible job with my pistols.

I would not hesitate to take any rifle or shotgun there. But for custom pistol mods, I'd go to a specialist in that make for that.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a good gunsmith and the one at Ammo Bros just takes to long

Been using them since Fred had a retail gun shop (longer ago than I want to admit). Work has always been good and prompt.

I've never had a problem with them. I just had a warranty repair on my beretta a400 last week. The middle bead came off. I was in and out in 15 minutes with no appointment.
