Also $2000 for it is a joke. If I had $800 to blow and one was in front of me I might buy one, but for $2000 I would go pick up a really nice Benelli.

I really dislike the fact you have to manually switch to the second mag when the first runs dry. Should switch automatically when one runs out, but still have the ability to switch mags manually when you want.

My LGS/Range had on on the retail side the other day when I was picking up a Gunbroker purchase. Having not held one yet I asked to take a look at it. Was ridiculously overpriced, especially for a KelTec ($1299) but I have to say, if I could pick one up for MSRP I might just do it. It is extremely comfortable to hold, very compact for a 12 gauge shotgun, and with that kind of capacity it would make a perfect home defense weapon. Would really like the opportunity to shoot one. It's definitely on my want to buy list once the panic dies down and KelTec gets all their production kinks worked out and can actually keep up with demand. I'd also love to pick up a PMR 30 and a Sub-2000 but I'm not paying $800-900 for guns that are supposed to be selling for $350-400.

where are people finding them for 699 to 799? It is freaking vapor ware since it's debut at the SHOT show 2 years ago.

I think it is sad that there was so much hype and demand for this thing and it took kel tec 2 to 3 years to get it out to customers. I wonder how many just plain gave up?

2000 for any kel tec is just silly. Even in today's market.

Anything keltec puts out looks like it was molded in China, so I would def not feel comfortable paying $1500 for anything that company produces regardless if it fires or not. Of course my DE44 had its issues to straight out the box until I sent it back and got it fixed by its the CRAFTSMANSHIP that truly dictates the price. You pick up a Desert Eagle and it feels like a $2000 gun.. You pick up an AK and it feels and looks like a $600 weapon... Smith & Wesson screams quality craftsmanship ..could u see Mossberg or Benelli stamping their name on the KSG? Didnt think so

Popular by people that know nothing about guns. The Kel tec woke up a sleeping giant with this shotgun. Other reputable companies will manufacture a shotgun similar in design but leaps and bounds in quality.

For CA the Kel-Tec is NOT overhyped or overpriced. Since we are facing a ban on all weapons like it, it makes total sense to buy one now if you can find one and afford one.

The inherent benefits of a bullpup shotgun for home defense are obvious and many. So if you want a short, fast handling pump, get it now. Because it may be illegal in Kali very soon. The grandfather ban has been withdrawn, so this is your last big opportunity.

If we were living in a free state, there would be no hurry. The Federal ban is likely to fail and you can wait a few years until the pipeline fills and the price subsequently drops. But, we don't live in a free state.

Like NRai2001, I personally want a semi-auto, dual-tube, bullpup by Benelli, FN, or Mossberg. You know it's coming. As steelrain556 said, Kel-Tec (and UTAS) woke up a sleeping giant. But we can't wait several years for that to happen. Because bans will occur in CA before then. So you have to choose between the Kel-Tec KSG or the UTAS UTS-15, or forever go without.

Sure there's the SRM 1216, but it costs a fortune. So for mere mortals that isn't an option. Plus, it's ugly compared to the KSG and UTS-15.

And stormvet, you should look at the UTS-15, it addresses your mag switching reservations of the KSG.
