I would bet on not pulling it in tight enough. Picture looks fine as long as you are comfortable in the position.

Well... Do ya think thats a bit personal for a public forum? Is mounting my shotgun wrong?
I guess it depends which end. After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..
I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".Comment

[QUOTE=boxcutter3005;10837686]Hi Guys, I just participated in the so cal skeet clinic and the next morning I noticed a few bruises. The one in my shoulder I expected, I bruise easily, but I can't explain the one on my bicep (see picture). I'm guessing I am mounting my shotgun wrong?
Coach and I are both sorry that you were not satisfied with, and did not have confidence in the instruction provided at the clinic. Coach will happily refund your $20 so you can find an instructor that you are satisfied with, and have confidence in.Comment

[QUOTE=Captain Dick;10851333]Oh no, please dont misunderstand what I have written as a criticism on the teaching you and coach don have given me. I am very pleased with it. I was just puzzled at the bruise that showed up on my bicep. I was investigating if i was personally maybe doing small things that you and coach Don may not have seen. I am very happy with the instruction you provided me.Hi Guys, I just participated in the so cal skeet clinic and the next morning I noticed a few bruises. I agree, Elbow at a 90 degree angle from the body, makes a nice pocket for the shotgun butt to fit into, makes it easier to have a smooth swing, also I think less felt recoil. Works well for all shotgun sports.US Navy Retired, NRA Lifetime member. Member CRPA

[QUOTE=Captain Dick;10851333]Please do not take this as any criticism or lack of confidence in the coaches at the clinic. I had a great time, great instruction, and came away with tools to become a better skeet shooter, these coaches are amazing. I apologize to Coach Don and Coach Richard for any offense i have communicated.Hi Guys, I just participated in the so cal skeet clinic and the next morning I noticed a few bruises. Jesus Dick, talk about an over reaction. All the guy did was ask about a bruise.
I know I goof on skeet shooters, but that's over the line, even for me.Comment
