Keltec KSG - Unethical!

Yes, those are the 2 well known bad reviews of the UTS 15. I can produce just as many good reviews.
I can also produce just as many good and bad reviews of the KSG.
Hell, I can produce just as many bad and good reviews of the 1911, the AR, the AK, and Glock."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

Welcome to supply and demand, if Keltec was charging $895 msrp and everyone was reselling them for $1300-1500, why shouldn't they raise the price to capture more of the market and take it away from flippers
Ferrari has been doing the same thing for years...works for them as long as they keep making products people want.
^^^While this is true.
The reason many companies don't do this, is that it invites competition.
Consumers are only looking for a perceived good product, at a perceived
good price. They are not brand loyal, if that criteria is met.
Kel-tec owns this market right now (if they could actually produce them anyway). By raising their price so high, any company who could not normally compete with them on price and product, now has a reason to develop and bring a product to market at a good price. That will take sales away from Kel-tec, and possibly invite a better product into the market.
Hopefully someone who can actually produce firearms will take the bull by the horns on this one.
Kel-tec has essentially shot themselves in the foot on this one... pun intended.
Ferrari has invited competition from their prices also, there are so many small sportscar manufactureres now, I could not count them all. The difference is Ferrari has stayed true to their roots in F1 and sportscar racing and has stayed on top in those fields to keep their name in high regard. Kel-tec will not have the money nor the means to market against any of the big firearm manufacturers. They played their cards like amateurs.Last edited by Oldmandan; 02-21-2013, 4:18 PM."To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them" - Richard Henry Lee

You probably aren't old enough to remember all the bad reviews and bad press that the Glock received when it was first introduced. You wouldn't believe the vitriol. The initial reviews were horrendous with repeated reports of failure. How has Glock worked out? Time has obviously resolved any misgivings. Time will tell about the UTS.
So far, UTAS has stood behind their product regarding any problems that have come to light. The problem with NutnFancy's gun has been resolved with current production and they have offered to retrofit any problematic shotguns that are still out there. I have no idea when FPSRussia's shotguns were manufactured. For all we know, they were from the same run that NutnFancy's was."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Are you serious? KSG's around here go for like $900 bucks and I went with the new updated UTAS over it. Not sure why someone would wait more than 5 days for one. They didnt discontinue in Oregon, Washington, and Maine... I waited 3 days for mine.Last edited by Endless; 02-22-2013, 4:00 PM.Comment

Can you point me to any good reviews by people I might be aware of?
Thanks,

You know, a buddy of mine has a KSG. retired LE. I dont get it. It kicks like a mule with 00 buck, kicks like a small mule with birdshot. In racking the slide one has to be very deliberate or you end up with an empty chamber. Also, the selector for the left or right tube is pretty sticky. For him it might be a novelty. Yea, I don't get it. I like my Mossy with Knoxx stock.Comment
