    Keltec KSG - Unethical!

I just got a call from the local store chain (to remain unnamed) where I had a deposit in on a KSG for 18+ months. They said that Keltec decided to "discontinue" the KSG as a way to raise the price due to the high demand.

Basically KSG is relaunching the KSG at a new price ($1,300) so they won't have to honor the old price at which all of us put our deposits in based on. The local store is mad and handled this well. I don't blame them at all.

I will never do business with a company that has such poor ethics ever again.

either cancel your order or turn around and sell it for profit. you can be mad but you wont lose money.

      Any source to confirm this?

Seems possible this is the store trying to honor your order, but trying covering their higher dealer cost coming from Keltec.

long beach + local store chain = turners..

glad i cancelled my order a few months ago and used the money for my versa-max. figured KSG or Turners would back out on it.

i had been talking to a store manager back when they were taking deposits and they had some crazy promise from a distrib that they would be getting huge batches of KSG's from the manufacturer due to them taking so many keltec su16A's off the their hands about 4 months before they started taking deposits which was why turners took pre-orders on what was and almost still is a vapor ware gun.

i wanted one so bad to.

I was third in line at Turner's for the KSG. After a year and a half I ditched it and put the money into a new Ruger SP101 .22LR and a steal of an Ishapore. Don't regret it but I sure would like a KSG at some point. Maybe when Ruger introduces theirs.

wondering about the M&P Shield Pre-Orders... thought Turner's were supposed to have them by October.

Welcome to supply and demand, if Keltec was charging $895 msrp and everyone was reselling them for $1300-1500, why shouldn't they raise the price to capture more of the market and take it away from flippers

Ferrari has been doing the same thing for years...works for them as long as they keep making products people want.

The point is that they agreed to sell them at one price and had deposits on them for over 18 months. You don't raise prices after holding deposits for that long.

The thought of paying $500 for anything from Kel-Tec...priceless.

I wonder if UTAS will do better with their delivery promises on the UTS-15 than Kel-Tec did with the KSG. Just like the KSG, the UTS has some good reviews and some bad reviews. I hope UTAS does a better job of delivering product than Kel-Tec.
