Japanese 18.1 inch shotgun
The Imperial Japanese battleships Yamato and Musashi had 460mm guns, 18.1 inch, which shot anti-aircraft shells which exploded once out of the barrel, intending to shred airplanes like a shotgun. I suppose that's not quite a shotgun tho. the punt gun was used by professional hunters for taking flocks of birds. kinda like the modern commercial fisherman using nets to catch masses of fish, back then hunters would mount the punt gun on a small rowboat and creep thru the reeds and bag a whole flock of birds at once with one shot.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
