No first-hand experience with these but based on what I've read (I've done extensive research on O/U shotguns) the CZs are good to go. They are Turkish imports if that makes a difference to you.

I'm also looking at some over/under too so this or any other recommendations in that same price range. I went to a LGS looking in the same range and the dealer recommended a Franchi or Stoeger at half the price! I guess they're trying to clear inventory or those are good shotguns as those were all he had for o/u.

CZ makes a great O/U. It's not on the level of a B, P, or K gun but still a great gun, especially for the price. The actual street price on that gun should be about $925ish or maybe less, and there's not much that will touch it in that range. Lots of guys shooting them at the range I go to. Have not shot them very much, just when I let CZ shooters shoot one of my Brownings or Berettas, but from what little experience I have with them, I like them. Wouldn't mind adding a Redhead in .410 to my stable.

Franchi also makes a really good entry level gun, though you're looking at a few hundred dollars more than a CZ, and they can be very hard to find. A Franchi 20ga is another gun that will find it's way into my safe, just love the case hardening.

Stoeger is, IMHO, not on the same level at all as either Franchi or CZ. They're cheaper, but the trade off in quality is not worth it to same a few bucks. The way I categorize is is that a B, P, or K gun can be handed down for several generations, something like a CZ can be handed down to your kids, but may or may not make it to your grand-kids, and a Stoeger, if you shoot it regularly, is probably going to die before you do.

Your intended use for the gun (clays, or hunting, and which clay game) does come into play when selecting a gun. However at that pricepoint you're not going to get many options for sporting guns. If clays are the intended use, I would get a 28", as a 28" field gun is more than capable of any kind of target shooting you wish. 26" may leave you a little to be desired on trap. Guys are going to tell you that you won't shoot clays well with a hunting gun, and they're flat out wrong. You may not shoot them as well as is absolutely possible, but remember, clays were supposed to be practice for hunting when they first came to be. My 28" Citori hunter serves me very well on the clay field, then again, my XT trap will probably see a hunt or two this year, so I definitely don't subscribe to the "use a gun only for it's designated purpose" philosophy.

Bought a 28" Winchester 101 Supreme from CDNN last year for $999. I think they have since raised the price to $1099 and last I checked only had 26" left in stock. I tried to look for their catalog online, but it looks like they don't have one to download on their site any longer. Anyway, I think even at the increased price this is still a smoking deal on a Belgian made O/U. Might want to add it to the search.

Is the Wingmaster only the 12 GA? I bought the CZ USA Mallard 20 GA O/U last year for the grandson...I had a gunsmith replace the factory recoil pad with a new one. We bought it from Bud's Gun Shop out of Lexington Kentucky...no sales tax to California, no shipping & handling...outstanding customer service and less than 500 bucks. I had the FFL transfer agent's # and other data Bud's needed and it took less than 10 minutes and the shotgun was ordered. Arrived here in Southern California and the GS and I hammer it, the wood on the Mallard is beautiful. GS shoots his Winchester 1300 Pump 20 GA, Savage 20 O/U and his CZ 20 GA and my Browning Citori 12 GA. His CZ is a 20 GA O/U and we enjoy it, 3 chokes, dual triggers and we have no negative comment{s} regarding it.

However, in all fairness, we have no complaints regarding the other shotguns either. Never have had a single misfire in all the times we have taken the weapons out.

We will gladly share {show off} our CZ O/U....we are at GrandpaofTyler@aol.com if you wish to see our photographs. My 2 cents worth: I think you will like the Wingmaster whether you go with the 12 or 20.

Good luck on your purchase..no matter which firearm u go with. Before Christmas, he saw this H&R 20 GA single shot...we saw it at the gun shop...he and I both thought we would enjoy it with the others. Orderd it on the 26th and because of the gun sales, we were suppose to get it on the 5th...but was notified that New England is/was shipping the new shotguns ordered on the 21st {Dec}...we being the 26th...his shotgun wasn't available on the 5th as promised but we can live with the waiting...we aren't go anywhere. I have never seen so many empty shelves, no primers, gun powder, bullets, SOMEBODY IS HOARDING the hell out of the items.

You won't go wrong with the CZ shotguns....

Where? I'll buy every single $600 Citori with a case in excellent condition you can find me, if you find me more than 4, I'll buy the 5th one for you.

Seen a few 80-85% Citori field models go for $1000ish. $600 gets you a serious beater.
