Loose his gun rights? For what? Posting a Question? How is that a man that does not share your exact view has no point? I am also for some controls and favor a National FOID Card. Also a requirement that a private person can only sell a firearm to someone with a FOID Card and that transaction is recorded and submitted. I have to jump through all those hoops because I am an FFL and the guy can then leave, go to range and sell a long gun he just bought from me to someone there without even asking their name. No reasonable person can say that is right and we need to change that. OPther then that one issue, we do not need more laws. We need enforcement of the ones we have not new ones.

The last mess Clinton did had some effect on semi-auto shotgun but very little to none on pumps. No one knows what will come about this time. Our only saving hope is that Idiot Joe was put in charge.

I think because he identifies as a "liberal." Whatever that actually means. I believe the perception is that because he is a "liberal," he is helping the Enemy. That may be, but voting for Romney was little different. I don't doubt for a second the governor of the most anti-gun state in America (that's Massachusetts) would have a problem with the so-called "common sense" gun control decrees being planned. Neither will most RINOs, I mean Republicans.

I wish we could just be Americans instead of "liberals" and "conservatives." Unless you are against the Bill of Rights, which means you are an anti-American.

i wouldn't worry about features, banned or not, etc for your intended purposes. i would go try (or at least hold) as many different shot guns as you can in the shop and then buy the one you like the most. look at the price last if at all possible or just have an upper limit in mind. on the flip side don't be afraid to cheaper, as long as you like it and IT WORKS, ie the mossberg500 and remington 870 have a long and proven track record and can be had for under $400 out the door.

also paranoid, yes. justified, id say yes too.
as for liberal bashing, id say i bash as many "liberals" as i do "conservatives" as a huge amount of people who fall into these categories now days do little examination and critical thinking for themselves anyways. just look who people nominated for our last 4 presidential elections. it seems like the hardest part is just finding someone who can think critically today, much less someone who shares political ideology with you.
