How far from the chamber is the hole? While it's ruined to use as is, it might be able to be turned into a short barrel for a NFA AOW.

Just get a used barrel off eBay or gun broker. Mossberg shot gun barrels are everywhere. For everyone trying change to a short barrel for sale, there's a used long one for sale and vice versa.

I got a hole in my Remington shotgun about the same place as yousr...............But mine a 1187 auto-loader so it's suppose to be there!
First scrap the barrel and then scrap the heat shield.
Used barrels are available and allot cheaper then new ones!
