    Good recommendations for a light?

Hi, fellow cal gunners. I have a mossberg 590a1 blackwater edition with the 20" and was wondering what lights you would recommend? It has two side rails on the grip and one on the bottom so I'm not sure if they're universal or if you need a certain model light or not to install. Thanks for the input!

I just got a Streamlight TLR1-S with a Streamlight shotgun mount which mounts to the mag tube, and the other end is picatinny for the flashlight. On my Mossberg 500.

I also have a Streamlight TRL-1s, but when I shot it if fell of it's mount on the third shot.

I'm looking for a different solution now.

Right now what's really popular is the Surefire EAG Fury. Just find a mount on it and you're good to go.

Find weapon mounted lights and handheld flashlights, offering dependable illumination and rugged construction.

              Really?

Ok I'm gonna apologize right off... I don't usually do this.

The advice you so generously gave me actually applies in this situation. This is an absolutely over asked and over covered subject. Google "Which shotgun light"...
              Then Google "Hypocrite"

Oh and sorry if I'm just raining on another chance to remind the cyber world that you have a "tactical weapon"

              Proceed

Surefire foregrip. You may need to hack off the lug though...

I had the Surefire on my Remington, found it was too bulky.

Went to a rail section that clamps onto the magazine extension, and found it's a hassle when you need to take the shotgun apart.

Ended up going with a GG&G forend with an integrated rail section:

I like it a lot, and they do make them for Mossbergs.

You can get a rail section on either side of the forend.

Editing to add, just realized you already have rails on your gun - that's a mini Scout on my 870.

Surefire and Streamlight are both good options. The latter is a lot cheaper. I wouldn't go with any "Brand-X" eBay specials on a shotgun, it may or may not stand up to the recoil.

As to your mounting question, you just need to make sure that the light in question (or its mount) will attach to a Picatinny (M1913) rail. If it's made for a longarm, it will. The TLR-1 comes with several inserts to mount to different weapons, one of which is for Picatinny.

Except I wasn't asking about a very specific item, I was asking about many possible lights. Nice try though. Stay mad. To everyone else, thank you! And yes the forend does have the tri-rail so hopefully that helps.

Ha so you couldn't even take the time to do a bit of research?
                          Narrow it down a bit?
Instead you thought it was better... or rather simpler for you, to just ask a repetitive question, completely disregarding your "advice to me"
But somehow I'm wrong for taking the time to research lead free rifled slugs, finding that there's really only one option, then being unable to find more info on the specific slug I post asking for more into.
So it wasn't clear how much searching I had actually done. Point still remains... You simply don't know so why would you even give input? Remember what they say about assumptions.
Not to mention.. I asked for specific input/info.... None of which your smart-*** answer was able to provide.

Lucky for you, a ton of people have asked the exact same question as you. So for the sake of being helpful...

I'd look around in the marketplace for a good deal on an X200 or X300.

Then you can play around and see how you want it mounted since you have more than one place to put it.
