    The KSG....?

The KSG seemed to be all the crave about 6 months ago. Every single person in the shotgun market was looking for the mythical unicorn of a shotgun. But, is it just me or has the Kel Tec high losing its edge? I'll admit, I wanted one for some good time there too, but now, why bother?!

I only ask because i recently saw one for sale for 1,600 that right 1,600 dollars. Yeah, we're talkin American currency! And i thought to myself, who in their right mind is going to buy that?

    Tell me what ya'll think...

I shot one of those elusive unicorn guns... It was neat. It was not 1600 neat.

For that amount of bank it should be select-fire and have an extending barrel!

Very nice. I wont say that I wouldn't love to try one out at the range, but that'd be about my extent with it.

Haha. Yes, exactly! For what you're getting, it is not worth it.

The KSG is cool, but $1600 for a Kel-tec is a bit... optimistic. That's $800 per side which is still too expensive.

Free market at work. I think it's insane to pay that amount for something like that, but if someone wants to pay it then OK.

Nope! I have been on the list for one for a year, still don't have one nor seen one. They are out there but the novelty has not worn off.

last ive heard im 9th in line from an out of state gun store. I wouldnt pay 1600 but by the time dros, cali tax and out of state transfer kicks in i figure it'll cost me 950-1000 to get this in my hands. People are tryn to flip these ksg's for double just like new jordan shoes or ps3's when they first came out. I put a $70 deposit down back in eary 2011. Im patient so i'll let my deposit ride, but if your impatient and got the funds, go ahead and get it.

                    Supply v Demand economics.

Kel-Tec is slow to produce enough firearms to satisfy demand for all markets.
If they stopped taking orders now, they would still be working for the next two years filling back orders.

I'm interested in a few of their products, but will never pay x1.5+ over MSRP for it.

I'll pay the $880 MSRP, but not a penny more.

Exactly. I would be willing to pay MSRP for one but 1600 dollars and the name "Keltec" just don't go together for me. It would be like paying $40,000 for a KIA when I can get a Beammer for that much.

It might as well be vaporware. I'm not going out of my way to chase a product down and pay double what it's worth. If it becomes available, I may consider buying it.

Not every single person was looking for that weapon. Bull pups come and go and never last. Add the fact it is a Kel-tech and I know plenty of guys would not spend a dime on it and that includes me. And yes, $1,600 is to much for a gun that has a dealer price of $580 and MSRP of $800. The first one sold on gun broker for $2,995.00 so that guy would be thinking that $1,600 was a deal about right now.

Gun safes are full of the latest greatest thing. Even if this weapon had any merit a resonable person would wait and let the first runs get into the users hands. This gets the bugs out and later production models would be bug free. This goes for most manufactures but Kel-tech is famous for letting the customers be the R&D for new models.

I loved the KIA -v- Beammer reference. Very well put.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.
