I second Pacific Sporting Arms!! They have a very large inventory of new and used highline shotguns.

The owner John is a Master Class Sporting Clays shooter and an AAA Skeet Shooter. Their service is second to none! Their after sale service is also great. If you buy the gun from him you can then pick his brain about clays shooting!!!

The key is finding which one fits you best. Go and shoot a CG. Sometimes, Coyote Valley has a Demo for rent. IMHO; Once you shoot the CG you will not be satisfied with either the of the guns you are looking at. Closest may be a Beretta.

Goldduster, great idea..i think i should demo any types first before shelving out a few grands on a blind purchase. But let me ask this... is there a good "blind buy" gun? Im 5'10 150lbs normal, sporty, good shape.

If nothing else at least "shoulder a similar gun". Most guns are made for the "average person" a category you seem to fit into. I'm about the same (except about 50 lbs heavier) and they fit, but some need expert fitting. I have tried Brownings and Berettas, but keep coming back to my CG's. If you need fitting, I recommend Otto over at Metcalf, very reasonalbe and did a great job for me. The nice thing about Coyote Valley is that they have a nice selection Brownings, Berettas and CG's. If you look and wait long enough you will find a reasonable deal (used) but it may take a while.
Don't hesitate talking to Lou (email "thefeeder", you can reach him on this site) who gives the Norcal clinic's. he will give you all kinds of free and valuable advice. He loves Brownings as I do CG's; you may wind up being a Beretta person. Again it depends on which one fits you best.

Also, I really recommend the Norcal clinic!!! I found it about the best money spent in a long time.

Seriously, don't buy anything (car, wife, shotgun) just because it looks good.

A Browning 525 fits me like a glove, anything made by Beretta, not so much.

I did subscribed to Lou's skeet clinic thread. The next one wont be til 2/2013. I was thinking of signing up a class at CV, and perhaps demo a CG there. I do own a Moss500 and a semi Weatherby SA-08 Deluxe. I shoot fine with them, but for O/U i wanna really really find a nice, fitted one, afterall im willing to spend good money for it.
Btw, i met Tony (tpuig) on here, he has suggested that Sunnyvale Gun & Rod will have a meet next Sat 12/1, i should come out that day, lots of experienced players with nice hardwares will be there...they are nice and very experienced, great with tips and instructions...some might even have some nice guns to sell for a decent price. I think i will show up that day.

If your going up I-80 , stop in at Guns, Fishing & Other Stuff in Vacaville. You will be paying full price there no dought. But a good place to handle and shoulder.

They have a decent selection of mid shelf O/U ( Beretta, Browning, Guerini)

If your looking for Blazer, Rizzini, Krieghoff, Merkel and such....Your only choice is on-line.

That is correct. Coyote Valley in Morgan Hill has a great selection of premium used and new shotguns. It also has 2 great sporting clay courses, as well as trap and skeet available. Look at their website here, http://www.coyoteclays.com for more information on their hours and specs. If you are within reasonable driving distance it is most certainly worth the trip.

just pulled the trigger on the 725 Sporting...12/32. Cant wait til it gets here...being ground shipped from Texas..plus 11 days dros... 3 weeks i guess...nevertheless Im excited.
