i swear im in that place 3 times a week . ammo sales new guns rainchecks and just to check out stuff . ive bought 3 guns from them in the past few months and from all different locations hahaha . anyone else feel my pain . largest firearms dealer on the west coast !

If its the only game in your town then you have to play it. For myself, unless I have a coupon or a gift card , I generally don't spend a lot of money at Big 5. Their ammo prices (at least in San Jose) are way above everyone else and If a rifle or shotgun is available elsewhere, elsewhere inevitably has the better price. That said, The Escort semi-auto I got at Big 5 was a helluva deal and not available elsewhere. So... Big 5 is always at least worth a look.

I'm the same way, I think I own one of everything on the wall. Sure they aren't going to be rock bottom prices on everything, but they are within walking distance and they have the basics covered.

Ammo prices there are usually high, but they do have good deals on long guns from time to time.

i wish that place sold hand guns , they might sell the same brands (long guns ) hands guns . they have a selection of what is good not what is expensive or junk . seems to me they would have rock islands , ati 's and ruger as the usual suspects in the case if we were lucky . cant complain im not a PRICE TAG WHORE . they have horriable service unless you know more than they do . its point and shoot ask and receive unless your not visually impaired .when you go to BIG 5 dominate .

BIG 5 in ca totally dominates in the new long gun catagory vs any local gun shop . i want examples if your gonna demean the master . i have love for local business but they cant touch the 5 for mid to high power rifles or shotgun price . ill be the first to admit they think 22s are gold though . shotgun rifle market dominance in central ca . 22 no

Every time one of those rare 10/15% off coupons for firearms comes out I end up with another pump shotgun, or 22lr replica

I talk to the owner of a local gun shop and he matches Big 5 prices. I give the little guy my business.
Big 5 Ammo Prices are never inexpensive, even Walmart beats their price.

yah they sell the everyman gun for cheap with a coupon . im in the sf bay area i pick and choose but real talk guns shops cant touch the sales and most gun shops dont give rain checks on in stalk guns ( secret ) . wish i was in texas and had a dicks !

I'm not a huge fan of Big 5 but I do some business there. Here Is a service not many people are aware of. Big 5 will do a PPT for $35 7 days a week! All of the gun shops in my area charge way more than that and also require an appointment or only do them for a couple of hours on Sat. (Bunch of BS). Remember though, long guns only!

Just picked up 2 20Ga single shots from there tonight...got them on there clearance sale two Weeks ago $98 each..love them

I still feel like I robbed them for my Interstate Hawk pump 12 guage. Got it on sale AND a 10%-off coupon on top of that. Thing cost me just under $200.

And it's better quality than the Remington 870 it was cloned from!
