loading problem Steven's 410/22 over and under

Got an old Steven's over and under, For some reason I cant shoot the 22 round. I can shoot the 410 no problem. The gun is in great shape, Could it be that the gun dose not take long rounds? When I put a round in it the gun will not close almost like theirs something in its way, when I take it out it closes fine.. What do you guys think?? Thanks guys

Some of the older guns actually take the 22 short round. Have the chamber measured!

I got it handled for him he didn't tell me about it tell now! (co workers!) 22 (top) firing pin was stuck out in the fire position. A nice cleaning and it was good to go
