Thanks guys for the info on the heatshields. You guys make valid points on not needing a heatshield. I didnt want a heatshield because of modding my shotty out like a crazy stupid looking tacticool shotgun. I mainly, and honestly really liked the look of an old school 1897 Win trenchgun, and just liked the look of the heat shield on it. So I'd figure I'd throw one on there for looks.
I doubt the soldiers back in WW2 worried much about being tacticool anyways when they threw on a heatshield on their shottys haha. Plus I doubt a lil piece of polymer on my shotty will be too heavy for me after handling mosins, haha.
