Most beautiful shotguns I have ever seen!

So I just checked out a pair of aboslutelu gorgeous shotguns. One is an skb model 885 trap and the other is the target model. Absolutely flawless guns, both over unders, 12g with amazing engraving and perfect stocks. Both have raised vented ribs and wow. I have never seen guns this beautiful. Here's my question. What are guns like that worth? Very low round count, and virtually show room new looks. Any ideas? Please and thank you guys. I'd like to get into clay shooting but guns this beautiful I don't know.... I'd be afraid to scratch them they're so nice. They appear to be VERY high quality.

All I know is that if I owned a Beretta SO10 EELL, I'd shoot the piss out it.

My Blue Book shows SKB 885 Trap in either 30 or 32 inch barrels. $1650 for 100% condition ranging down to $595 for 60%. Last MSRP when they stopped coming into the country was $1949. The Field model, which could be what you identify as a "Target" model, runs about the same money in similar conditions to the Trap.

SKBs are very nice guns and lock up like a bank vault. A trap model should be good for many tens of thousands of shots with not a lot of maintenance beyond what you'd normally do for any shotgun. Be sure the gun(s) fit you well before you lay your money down. Don't worry about wear or scratching. While these guns are no doubt exquisite in their workmanship, they are made to be fired and enjoyed.

@xd shooter I suppose you're right, I mean what good is such a beautiful piece of equipment if you're afraid to use it. Makes me think of the guys who buy custom built 50+ thousand dollar harleys to sit in their living room lol. "The ironing is delicious." -Bart Simpson

@Big Dog Thank you very much, I had no idea that hunting and sporting shotguns could run such prices, yet just looking at them, Im really not surprised. It's good to know that their quality matches their beauty. With such good words about them, I will take a closer look at them, as no doubt anyone would be proud to own such fine pieces.

@The Feeder Holy cow! it just gets nicer and nicer! It looks as though I have stumbled into a corner of firearms that I had no idea existed! I mean we all love our guns, but to have one engraved with such masterful art is simply extraordinary! Mr. Bee is simply amazing! His work makes me think of such artistic expressions as the Sistine chapel. Absolute marvels for the eye, and no doubt the hands as well.

Thank you guys very much for the education. It's never too late to learn something new!

Some of the stocks alone are worth several thousand. I have a friend that is into Perazzis, they have their unique target audience.

And in the "when you have to ask what it costs, you can't afford it" department there is Kolar Arms. Hand made American craftsmanship through and through that rivals Italian guns, with extra barrel sets starting at ~$4K.

Perazzi, Kolar, Caesar Guerini, even higher end Beretta and Browning guns, can and will set you back tens of thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands. But for those prices you are getting a hand made gun that will last many lifetimes of shooting and customer care that is so far above the industry it isn't funny.

But all fancy stuff aside, they are made to be shot and they do so magnificently.

                        $70K per gun is nothing.

Some guns run well over $100K. A Beretta SO10 EELL for example runs $120K, give or take.

The money is all the hand work that goes into the engraving, wood selection, carving. Mostly hand fitted parts as well.

Wow. Even if I was a billionaire, I would think long and hard before throwing that kind of money on a shotgun.

DOOOOOOOOOD! This is almost insane! I mean there are ferrarris for car entusiasts, so I get it because they go fast, but I never even had a hint to suspect there might be a similar niche' in the firearms industry, aside from collecting antique guns. Those are SO freakin beautiful im at a loss for words!!! NOW I understand. It really is incredible though, I must admit. TRULY something you all have amazed me with guys! Thank you. Makes me wonder if those guys have climate controlled gun vaults too. I probably would.
