SG noob here, just got it, used Hawk 982, it SUCKS trying to feed a shell into the tube, feels like there is interference there, I have to push it really hard, the "plate" that swivels when loading is either bent, or does not depress all the way down to let a shell in smoothly.

any ideas on how to fix?

any ideas on how to fix?

First you might have a dented mag tube or rusted mag tube. The loading gate might as you said be bent or rust again. See if you could give it a good cleaning first. If there are some internal rust issues then you might have to go to a gunsmith.
