Help Finding a Shotgun!

I was looking for a semi-auto SG not too long ago. A friend of mine had a Remington 11-87 which I tried out. He was selling it for a sweet price too. I did not like the fact that it would not cycle the Wally World bulk pack ammo. Also for some strange reason it needed hi-brass shells to make it cycle 100%. So I decided to pass and kept looking.

A month later I found a lightly used H&K marked Benelli M1S90 with a 28 inch barrel and all 5 chokes for $675 plus fees.

I am so happy I waited. This guns functions with both Federal and Winchester bulk packs perfectly. Once I took the Benelli apart to see what makes it tick and then fired it, I finally got what the fuss was all about. It does not get that dirty and it is cake to clean.

Do some research on Remington 1100's and 11-87's. You will find that quite a few people sold them for Benelli's.

Just to make sure. My shotgun is a model 11 ( a blow back - recoiling barrell based on Browning design - not gas operated) It is not gas operated 11-87.

Just go ahead and get the Benelli M4. I am saving my aluminum cans so that I can get one, so far I have $8 and I just started collecting my cans...

The Remmy 11's i've used never have a problem using high powered loads.

They all have a friction ring assembly that must be adjusted for the load that you want to shoot.

You can't go directly from birdshot to slugs without adjustment, but once you re-position the frictionring it doesn't mind.

The only guns that get damaged are the ones owned by guys who don't know what the friction ring is or does.

I guarentee you that Bonnie Parker wasn't using 7.5 birdshot in her cut down 20 gauge.

I now know how the friction system works for the Model 11 auto shotgun. You did not elaborate - but it is not your responsibility and I should know how to operate my own guns!!

I contacted Remington and told them the serial # and they sent me an owners manual. I will post pictures and the three setting in a new post. But I encourage any who can't get the answer to their question to contact the manufacturer. My gun was made in 1924 and had a 70mm chamber.
