My two shooting buddies have them

One SS and one performance shop SS

Good guns, but I hate the fake carbon fiber finish on the performance shop one

The forend weight, extended bolt handle and bolt release are Briley parts

As with any inertia driven guys, the recoil is worse than gas, but no where near harsh

I prefer my Briley mod'd Beretta A400 Xtreme, much lighter shooting

I shoot the Super Sport. It is an awesome gun. I run wally world shells. 1oz federals and 1 1/8 in the 100 packs. It has never had a hicup even on the 1 oz loads. It is also easy to clean. The cheek pads are $100-$150, I added a taller one. A gas gun may be better for recoil, but I have fired up to 300 rounds in a day for a fun shoot, and up to 7 rounds of skeet in a day. The fact that the carbon fiber finish is fake kind of sucks, but the gun still looks very nice and gets quite a few looks.

I have one and shoot skeet with it. Never had any problems - it swings very nice. I suggest you go to Tripple B's and rent one.

Have you taken a look at the Vinci Supersport? I've wanted one for a while now. I might pick one up this year. I'm torn between the Vinci Supersport and an over/under.

I've shot a 30" SuperSport for Trap/Skeet since 2008 and really like it. Not a fan of the faux carbon fiber, but it's purely an aesthetics thing. The gun runs very well (no malfunctions with mine ever and I've shot light target loads since day 1) and is very easy to clean.

That sucks, I was under the impression it was real CF.

Id like to get a shotgun just for clays, the Mossberg 500 just isnt cutting it anymore... Ive been wanting a SuperSport pretty bad myself, kind of my top pick right now.

Benelli's are my favorite semi-auto shotguns. I had a gas-operated semi (along with a few gas-operated semi-auto pistols) and I have problems from time to time. I've never had problems with my Benelli, which I shot thousands of rounds, if not, tens of thousand of rounds and still works (Got a Black Eagle Competition one, imported by HK, back in the days).

There's one currently in the for sale section:

I had a Browning Maxus Hunter and a the Benelli SS.
All my friends who shot the Benelli felt that the recoil and handling is superior to the Maxus.
All in all both are good semi-autos but I am leaning towards the SS for now.

From what I understand they are great guns! I almost got one but the deal fell through.

I've shot them... Excellent handling shotgun if they fit you... Personally I would get a Sport II to get the feel and look of wood..
