Hey fellow CG's
I unofficially inherited four .22LRs and 2 shotguns from my grandpa, dad's side, and I was kinda wondering what they were worth or if there was anything special about them. Not that I really intend to ever sell them, but for curiosity.
First: Ithaca Gun Co., Model 66-SuperSingle 20 ga. shotgun, serial 106856.
Looks to be in good order. The release handle, hammer and breakaway function seem a bit stiff/sticky, but they work. Probably just needs some TLC to get in good working order. Still has a rubber recoil "cap" on the end like some pictures I saw of this model. 20 gauge with a 3 inch chamber. Some info shows this sells for $150-$200.
Second: Savage Arms, Stevens Model 940E 16 ga., no serial that I can see.
This one is noticeably more used than the first. It's also a breakaway barrel but with a switch for the right-hand thumb. Not at all sticky, but the grease inside looks kinda gross. 16 gauge and a 2-3/4 inch chamber. Has a rubber recoil thing like the first. Some info shows that this sells for around $100.
Thanks guys.
