    This is getting Expensive

wow, I just did a tally of how much I've spent at Triple B's and reloading. I'm over $1,000+ YTD.

I should have picked a cheaper hobby.

Don't forget that sweet Ceasar G shotgun you just picked up.

I tell my daughter I'm spending her inheritance. She is mad at Jordan for this because he is the one that got me hooked. Don't worry, give Jordan all the blame but you have all the fun!

Shooting is unique among the hobbies I've had in that the day-to-day costs quickly outpace the capital expenditures. Case in point: $1000 for ammo and targets in <4 months vs a $4000 (or less!) gun. Photography is expensive but once you've got the gear your "operating expenses" are very small by comparison. Skiing is expensive, but season passes make it not so bad. Although the potential costs to your health and mobility have a higher probability.

Agree with the statements about racing and sailing. Remember the old adage: if it flies, floats, or ****s, it's cheaper to rent it.

There are "more expensive" hobbies for sure, but shooting is just painful in that you spend a bunch of money on ammo and it's gone before you know it...

multiple hobbies = multiple expenses, each hobby has it's requirements, thus your $1000 is justified...

I've spend well over my allowance this year on just this hobby alone. I think I am in the hole until June...

my other hobby is salt-water reef tanks, which can be expensive. My friends don't understand when I tell them that salt-water is my cheap hobby.
