Although I am suffering the same fate as the others in THIS thread, I didn't want to bump it due to it's age. I did not purchase my Mossberg 500 from Big 5 however, just a local Gun Shop. I assumed because it is a brand new 2012 Model, the aftermarket parts would run parallel but apparently that's not how it works.

I purchased the ATI Forend w/ Picatinny Rails only to find out I could not install. The arms are directly connected to the standard, but I'm not fond of replacing the Tube with something compatible.
My question is: Is there some type rubber grip snap-on, or material that is commonly used to 'beef up' a Forend? Something I could apply right to the existing.
