Sling related: What about the mounting vriation between the standard bottom mount points and the 2 point side mount sling?
What's the advantage of having your sling mounted on the side of the shotgun instead of the bottom?

Purely for transition. When you have the bottom mount. The shotgun will flip upside down. If you need to transition or grab the shotgun quickly, it will be upside down so it isn't really ready to shoot. It is just another thing to pay attension to, distraction, wasted time at an untimely moment, chance to fumble something...
