    Winchester o/u model 101 Japan

    28" barrel 2 3/4 3 sets of chokes
That's all fine and dandy but has anyone seen them come with an adjustable but plate???!
Anyone know if this is a stock feature? I've been looking and I'm not so sure it is. Also, would a mod like this affect value? Decrease value?

That buttpad is not a factory item. The Japanese Winchester 101s are still relatively common so the addition of that buttplate shoukdn't affect the value too much. I have a 30" trap and I really like the gun. I'm considering having the barrels threaded for choke tubes. Your gun would be a later gun since it already has the Winchoke system! Enjoy it and don't worry too much about its value. Ofcoz that doesn't mean beating up the gun!!

Lol bj, I'm possibly going to purchase it from a buddy but I don't know too much about o/u's other than they're expensive. He wants what he has into it which is 1200 just curious about that but plate it looks aweful

Trap shooters usually uses that pad. Don't worry too much about the pad, you can getg a pad install for 50-75 bones. Check around for the value yourself but I think 1200 is fair. It doesn't sound too expensive but I don't think its the cheapest either. If the gun is otherwise in good condition then you really can go wrong with a Japanese 101...

That is a Morgan pad. I installed one on my Beretta trap.

              ^^^ This ^^^

I see them all the time at my club. Serious trap shooters use them. Often a bunch of length comes off the stock when a Morgan goes on so switching out to a conventional pad might involve adding a bunch of spacers to make up length. I'm guessing who ever had the Morgan put on was using it for a doubles gun.

A Japanese made 101 is going to be a good solid gun unless it's somehow been abused, which isn't likely. $1200 might be a smidge over what I'd pay, but if it's clean and tight, it's not a deal breaker price.

We are trying to work out a deal for the :
                Win 101 12g
                Savage 110 30-06 scoped
With a bunch of ammo for each gun.

We have a flip a coin deal worked out, 1400 or 1500 bucks. Now what do you think? I feel 1400 for the pair with ammo would be a good deal for me. What do you think?

1400 sounds about fair for a japanese 101 & 110. but it still depends on how much ammo imo!
